A big ‘Thank You’ to all who entered this year’s Colouring Competition. The postman was weighed down with entries as the deadline approached – we had double the entries this year, with almost 200 arriving from local children, churches and schools as well as from individual entries from destinations all over the British Isles. The standard was very high which made choosing winners almost impossible!
The winning pictures (along with all the other entries) will be displayed at the Centre when we open for the Books Sale Weekend, on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st June. We will be open from 1.30pm until 4pm on the Friday and 11am until 3pm on the Saturday. We also have a small display centred on the two social pioneers – Elizabeth Fry and Thomas Barnado. There will obviously also be opportunity to look at the main exhibition, time to find some good books and for refreshments!
The winning entries will also be on display for our July Opening (19th July).
