Results of Colouring Competition 2021

A big ‘Thank You’ to all who entered this year’s Colouring Competition. We had over 60 entries so the postman was kept very busy!
Choosing winners from the entries is a very difficult task, but our neighbour kindly stepped in to assist – she knew none of the entrants and so we can say they were judged completely fairly. She returned the pictures commenting on the high standard of work and saying she wished she could award all with a prize!
The winning pictures will be displayed at the Centre when we open, and small prizes have been dispatched to the winners!
As promised, here are the names of the winners:
AGE 3-4 YEARS
1st Lucy Burbridge (4) Haversham
2nd Abigail Benjamin (4) Ballyhaderreen
3rd Matthew Hicklin (4) Eskbank
AGE 5-7 YEARS
1st Harry Keen (6) Wolverhampton
2nd Joshua Hickman (7) Stourbridge
3rd Anaiya Raj (6) Birmingham
AGE 8-11 YEARS
1st Esther Benjamin (11) Ballyhaderreen
2nd Hannah Pomeroy (9) Dudley
3rd Annabeth Topping (8) Barton Le Clay
AGE 12 +
1st Rachel Broad (13) Stoke Prior
2nd Grace Lim (16) Callander

It was Anita Griffin, the Christian artist from Seattle, who once again drew the picture for our competition this year. Anita’s oil painting entitled ‘The Landing of the Mayflower’ which she so kindly painted for us last year is now on permanent display at the Centre.
Due to the lockdown and the necessary closure of the Centre, we have had hardly any visitors, so Anita’s painting along with the winning entries from last year’s competitions will also be on display along with those from this year for all to see when visiting us this year.
Thank you again to all who took part – don’t forget to look out for next year’s competition!
